2003 is not turning out to be a good year for screen and music legends it seems. I just now noticed at CNN that Robert Palmer passed away from a heart attack.
Now i know he wouldn't be considered a legend since there weren't many songs that he is known for, but EVERYONE who lived in the 80's remembered his video 'Addicted to Love.' Him standing in front of an all girl band, their hair slicked back and pulled up, makeup about 3 inches thick that made them look like a china doll, but, oh, such lovely creatures. One woman in particular caught my attention and that was the tall, Latin looking one with the guitar. In one scene it looked (to me anyway) as if she were wearing nipple clamps connected to a chain under that tight sweater. As she was swaying back and forth, strumming the guitar, her facial language looked like she was in pain, maybe due to the shoes she was wearing (or maybe ecstatic pain from the possible nipple clamps). Who knows?
Farewell, Mr. Palmer.

If you had the opportunity to visit your younger self at a certain age, what would you tell them?

I'd probably shoot him on the spot.

For the moment i'm in the 'reading' mood so that's why, for the most part, i've been relatively quiet. Last week i picked up a couple SF magazines, Analog and Asimov's (double issue) which have short stories and novellas, and i'm sort of digesting them slowly, instead of my normal 'try to read as much as i can in one night' things.

By the way, good to see Haloscan up and running once again.

A while back i participated in an MMORPG game called Anarchy Online. I was very interested in it for a while due to the fact it was a role playing game set in the future instead of the past. I have nothing against the DnD fanatics, i just wanted something different for a change.
I wasn't on for very long but enjoyed myself thouroughly when i was there. I had hoped to get back on earlier this year but that never came about because of the disappearance of my computer.
I still check up on the web site to see what the latest is going on, and from what i can tell, lately, it's becoming more and more interesting. Someday.....
